About Me
My name is Phillip Donnelly. I’m a practical, systems-minded professional with a long background in , manufacturing systems, warehouse management, engineering systems, warehouse systems, property, building operations, sales, property development and home improvements, and hands-on problem solving.
I currently work as a Facilities Manager, responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and safety of buildings. My role requires reliability, judgement, and the ability to manage issues calmly as they arise — skills that sit at the heart of everything I do.
Why me? Because I combine real-world experience, systems thinking, and modern digital tools — with clarity, not hype.
Most people can talk about theory.
Some people can talk about tools.
Very few people have actually done the work end-to-end, across decades.
I have.
My background spans practical trades, manufacturing, logistics, systems, data, and digital work. I understand how things are built, how businesses really operate, and how technology should support people — not complicate their lives.
I’ve worked at the coalface and at system level. That means I focus on what actually works, explain complex ideas in plain English, and avoid unnecessary noise.
Today, I use modern tools — including AI — as leverage, guided by human judgment and experience. Technology changes fast; wisdom doesn’t.
If you value clarity, practicality, and things built to last, you’ll feel at home here.
Services to the Stars!
Rob Brydon was actually a Customer of mine through a third party service provider.
I had the pleasure of being trusted to work in his home.
How I Work
I’ve always preferred simple, well-defined work over complexity for its own sake.
Whether dealing with buildings, systems, or projects, my approach is consistent:
- understand the problem properly
- plan realistically
- control cost and scope
- communicate clearly
- avoid unnecessary risk
I don’t chase scale or shortcuts. I focus on doing things properly, in a way that stands up over time.
Background & Experience
My experience spans both hands-on technical work and structured operational roles. Over the years, this has given me a solid understanding of how buildings are put together, how they age, and how problems tend to develop when corners are cut.
I’m comfortable working at ground level, coordinating trades, managing maintenance, and making practical decisions based on real-world constraints — not theory.
This blend of practical knowledge and systems thinking allows me to spot issues early and deal with them before they become expensive or disruptive.
Property & Refurbishment
Alongside my professional role, I have a strong interest in property refurbishment and renovation.
My focus is on:
- understanding buildings properly
- improving them sensibly
- controlling risk and cost
- avoiding over-complication
I’m not interested in speculative projects or relying on market conditions to “save” a deal. If something doesn’t make sense on paper, I’d rather walk away than force it.
Personal Position
I currently rent and am location-flexible, which gives me practical freedom when working on property-related projects. I can base myself where the work is, rather than forcing projects to fit around a fixed location.
This flexibility allows me to stay close to projects when needed and remain hands-on when that’s the most sensible approach.
Why This Site Exists
This website exists as a clear reference point — not a sales platform.
It’s here to:
- explain who I am
- outline how I think and work
- provide context for my experience
Over time, I may add examples, galleries, or learning resources, but the core purpose will remain the same: clarity, not promotion.
Final Note
I believe most problems — in buildings and in life — are made worse by rushing, over-confidence, or unnecessary complexity.
My approach is the opposite: steady, considered, and practical.
